Primary Enterprise Programme

What is PrEP?
It is an economics based programme that covers most of the curriculum areas and is designed so that a society is formed in the school that reflects the society that the children live in outside school.

What are the aims?

1. To focus on the essential learning skills that we cannot cover easily during our normal programme.

2. To add value to the education of our pupils, including oral language.

3. To give our pupils the opportunity to use the skills they learn in all subject areas in a meaningful way.

Prep continues to be a feature of the school and is ever evolving as we enter our eighth year running this programme. This year term one will not contain a market day as Prep will start with Pre Prep sessions where children are taught the fundamentals, language and ideas behind Prep. This will make the launch into Prep in Term 2 more smooth and valuable for the students. Prep ventures will also run in Term 3 & 4. Senior and Junior prep are running at the same time this year but still run as separate units within the system.
